FAQ
Before You PurchaseHow does MedaCheck remind me if I forgot to take my medicine?
We call it our “progressive reminder system.” MedaCheck’s personalized reminder and support system provides you with the timely information you need in order to take all your medications as instructed.
When it is time to take your medication, the MedaCheck tablet will beep, showing your medication through a photo and in writing so that you know exactly which medication should be taken. If for some reason you fail to notify the MedaCheck tablet that you have taken your medication as prescribed (in a matter of 30 minutes), the on-call, MedaCheck Care Team will call you to remind you to take your medication.
MedaCheck improves connectivity between you and your (informal or formal) caregiver so that they can stay up-to-date on whether you have taken your medication as instructed. MedaCheck also optimizes communication between you and your provider/care team/caregiver by providing real-time feedback. If you do fail to provide this feedback, the designated contact (in many cases the caregiver) will be notified via call or text, informing them you have missed a dose.
Stay better connected with your loved ones and with your health care provider(s) by using MedaCheck.
I'm not comfortable with modern technology. Is MedaCheck still right for me?
MedaCheck is committed to ease of use and simplicity. Unlike other apps or devices, MedaCheck does not require users to have familiarity with modern technology. MedaCheck is a “response only” device. When the device beeps, a user just touches the screen to signify that each medication has been properly taken.
The setup process for MedaCheck is meant to be as frictionless as possible.
I'm looking to utilize MedaCheck for patients. Is MedaCheck right for our practice/facility?
MedaCheck is currently being used for people with complex medications, and to help manage chronically ill and elderly patients.
Our platform can be specifically designed for a variety of other settings across the medical neighborhood, and/or those facilities looking to increase their touch points and ability to empower patients. Those include medical practices or administrators in the telehealth/ telemedicine arena, healthcare providers, health insurers, PCMHs, ACOs, Assisted Living Facilities, as well as a host of pharmaceutical applications.
Patient-specific directions for how to properly administer each drug, ongoing patient education, and tailored messages for patients can also be built into our system for specific situations. MedaCheck better connects care teams and patients, and it is our goal to help patients stay living at home, as long as possible.
How many medications would I need to be taking to benefit from using MedaCheck?
Anyone who has at least one medication or treatment can benefit from MedaCheck. We also have users that are taking over twenty medications a day. No matter the number of medications you take, MedaCheck’s progressive reminder system provides both clarity and peace of mind for users.
My internet connection is poor. Can I still reply on MedaCheck?
Utilizing one of the broadest cellular carriers, MedaCheck will work without error thanks to reach that spans across 98% of the US. This means that if you can get a cellular signal, MedaCheck’s progressive reminder system will work for you.
Multiple people in our household could use MedaCheck. How many MedaCheck devices should we order?
Each individual person must have their own, dedicated MedaCheck device. We created MedaCheck with the user in mind—and this is the easiest way to track your individual medications and to avoid any possible confusion in the process.

What should I know about medication management, and what is medication adherence?
Medication adherence is the term used for “sticking” to your prescription or treatment as instructed. Not adhering to your daily medication is referred to as non-adherence. For you or a loved one/family member in your life, non-adherence can include:
- Not filling or re-filling a prescription as needed
- Stopping the medication at the wrong time
- Stopping a medication before you should
- Taking more or less (or skipping doses) of the prescribed medicine
MedaCheck helps with the management of your ongoing medications by:
- reminding patients when it’s time to take their medication;
- providing relevant, information on each medication, such as precautions, patient-specific directions, and other crucial information to take your medication as instructed;
- providing reminders that include follow-up calls from MedaCheck’s Care Team (call center) when users have not indicated they took their prescription(s) as instructed.
As a caregiver, what should I do if a family member/person has an issue with their medication?
Users should always speak with a medical professional, including, but not limited to, their doctor, pharmacist, specialty care providers, or other health care practitioners.
Any changes with ongoing medication should be brought to MedaCheck’s attention so that the reminder system can reflect any and all changes to your medication regime.
Do you have help with setup?
